Mountain Warehouse has grand expansion plans after successful year

Well-known outdoor clothing group Mountain Warehouse intends to open 20 more stores across the UK, with new sites planned for Edinburgh, Aberdeen, and Inverness. 

The group, founded in 1997, has had a very successful year, with sales and pre-tax profits rising by 14%. It opened 48 stores last year, including 15 abroad. This brings their international premises total to 87 across 8 countries. 
 
In this year, Mountain Warehouse plan to open 50 more branches worldwide, with 20 in the UK.
 
Founder and CEO Mark Neale revealed one would be on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, along with an enlarged outlet on Princes Street and one each in Aberdeen and Inverness.
 
He said: “I’m delighted to have delivered another set of record results, despite the obvious headwinds.
“It’s no secret that many retailers are finding it tough going, but our relentless focus on value – great outdoor gear for all the family at great prices - continues to hit the mark.
 
“The results also owe much to the terrific efforts of our 3,500 people and the work that we continue doing to diversify and weather-proof the business.”

This data can be used in many ways: HR can use it for absence management, with a built-in Bradford Index calculator and customisable alerts. The software also warns if your employees are at risk of breaching the rules set down by the European Working Time Directive.
