£3.5 million development at Langlands Commercial Park set to begin
Local council planning consent granted for brand new industrial warehouse in East Kilbride
Knight Property Group has been granted planning consent by South Lanarkshire Council for further development at Langlands Commercial Park in East Kilbride.
It will now transform a two-acre, self-contained site to create a new 23,980 sq ft industrial warehouse facility, which has the potential to cater for a variety of different businesses and create dozens of jobs in the local area.
The new property will be developed on a speculative basis and will provide a flexible industrial warehouse, with 1,980 sq ft of office space. There will be 20 car parking spaces, including access and facilities for disabled people, plus electric car charging points. There will also be a concrete yard extending to 35,585 sq ft.
The construction process is scheduled to commence this summer and is likely to take around six months to complete.
Howard Crawshaw, managing director of Knight Property Group said: “We are committed to further investment at Langlands and our proposals have been carefully considered and set against the backdrop of increased interest and positivity in the Scottish industrial, distribution and logistics market over the past year.”
TIME AND ATTENDANCE SCOTLAND – Your workforce management solution
The beginning of a brand new commercial park construction is the perfect time to recognise that a time and attendance system is the ideal way to manage your workforce.
Our Biometric Time and Attendance clocking terminal enables employees to easily and promptly let you know when they have arrived at work, and when they have left. Clocking Options include Smart Card only, Biometrics only, Smart Card + PIN, PIN & Biometrics, Smart Card & Biometric or Smart Card, and PIN & Biometric.
We also offer our Self Service Module (SSM) which enables employees to clock themselves in and out from an internet browser or a mobile app. Not only this, the SSM allows them to request holidays and register for doctor appointments.
Most importantly for sceptical business owners, if employees use the mobile phone app version of this module, their movements can be tracked through GPS and plotted onto a map. There is an endless list of functions that the Self Service Module provides for its user which can be found here.
